Diffuser: Reed Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Kit
Gently scent a room without a flame!
Just fill the elegant bottle with any vegetable oil and add a layer of essential oil. Then insert the natural diffuser reeds. Flip the reeds periodically to refresh the scent.
From Anarres Natural Health, you'll receive:
~ 1 glass bottle
~ 10 natural diffusing reeds
~ 3 essential oils from the list below in 10 ml blue glass drip bottles, a total of 30 ml of pure 100% essential oil
10 natural diffusing reeds
Just fill a glass bottle or jar with vegetable oil, add essential oil, and pop in your rattan diffusing reeds!
Dimension: 3/16" x 10" and 3/16" x 12"
These reeds are made from all-natural, high-quality fibrous rattan. The reeds wick the essential oils to the top and disperse the scent into the room. The more reeds and essential oil you use, the stronger the scent.
Reed diffusers offer subtle and safe aromatherapy without a flame. Once a day to once a week, flip all the reeds so that the soaking end is then on top. When the carrier oil no longer smells fresh, or you want to change the scent completely, simply compost it and start with fresh vegetable oil and top it up with essential oil. Other than that there is zero maintenance.
Reed diffusers can be used for both essential oils and fragrance oils (not healthy!), but essential oils can be thicker than fragrance oils and might not travel up the reed as effectively, so to aid in the dispersal, a little alcohol can be added to the vegetable oil base if you find the scent not strong enough.
Reeds are a very subtle form of diffusion, so bolder essential oils are recommended for maximum effectiveness.
Advantages of a Reed Diffuser:
• No Flame or Heat: Unlike candles, the reed diffuser has no flame to worry about. This makes the reed diffuser a safer alternative to candles.
• No Going Out: with incense or candles the aroma is temporarily relying on active lighting. The reed diffuser lasts all day and night. The only maintenance that a reed diffuser needs is a weekly turning of the reeds.
• No Smoke: incense is nice but the smoke can be irritating to some people. The reed diffuser achieves the same purpose but without any smoke.
• No Wax or Mess: incense has ashes, candles have wax, the reed diffuser has neither.
• No Aerosols: unlike sprayed scents, the reed diffusers do not have any added chemicals.
• No Electric Power: you can place a reed diffuser anywhere without having relied on an outlet or change batteries.
• No Heat: the reed diffuser protects the integrity of essential oils.

Instructions
1. Fill a narrow-necked glass bottle 1/3 with any pure vegetable oil.
2. Add 20-100 drops (1 to 5ml) of pure essential oil or blend of essential oils such as an Emo Oil http://www.anarreshealth.ca/catalog/3/essential_oils?page=3. 3. Insert the natural diffuser reeds into the oil so that the neck of the bottle is filled.
4. Let the reeds soak for 24 hours, then flip them over end to end so that the un-soaked end is now soaking and the soaked end is scenting the air!
5. Flip the reeds periodically to refresh the scent.
6. Compost the reeds and replace them and the oil annually.
