The magnificent Carnauba Palm is a Tree of Life because of its many uses for humans. The dried leaves of the trees are the source of carnauba wax. The fruit and pith give traditional foods, the leaves are useful for a host of things and the wood is a pest-resistant construction material. The pulp is extracted and dried to produce carnauba flour, largely consumed by natives. Cooking oil comes from the seeds. When roasted, fruits are ground and brewed as a coffee.⁠
