OVERVIEW
Chickweed is an English herb easily recognized by its straggling, succulent stems bearing paired leaves and white star-shaped flowers. It is said that there is no part of the world where chickweed doesn't grow; it is even found in the North Arctic regions.

Plant Part Used: Flower, leaves and stem.

Common Uses: A tea or tincture of chickweed is known as a treatment for rheumatism and an infusion of the leaves added to a bath is known to reduce inflammation caused by rheumatism pain. Chickweed is also a detoxifying agent and is considered to be very effective.
