Carnival of the Commons
Plenty of times I’ve been asked if Transition Toronto would organize a street festival or something of the like to bring some fun and good times to our efforts to mitigate our socio-ecological challenges. We’ve never had the capacity to do that, but now, Gerry Dunn of the Toronto Climate Action Network is organizing just such an event. We’re allowed to help, too! The event will be called the Carnival of the Commons, and it will take place May 15th. The theme is pipelines and the event will offer information to the public on issues related to pipeline dangers and threats to the environment as well as pipelines’ relationship to climate change. It will be a family-friendly event with food, music, and information. If you want to pitch in, let me know.
