GREEN TORONTO AWARDS

Nominations are now being accepted for the Green Toronto Awards, the City of Toronto's environmental awards of excellence celebrating the individuals, organizations and companies leading the way to a cleaner, greener Toronto.

Winners will be recognized at a special awards ceremony this spring, and will receive $5,000 to further their work on the environment, or donate to an environmental charity of their choice.

New awards for 2011: Green Business and Green Home
The Green Business Award helps us recognize local businesses that are leading the way with green practices, strategies and products, while the Green Home Award will recognize a Toronto resident or family for their leadership in greening their home.

There are 10 categories in total:

Youth Leadership
Energy Conservation
Environmental Awareness
Green Design
Leadership
Local Food
Water Efficiency
