Greater Toronto Area: Become a Share Owner in a Solar Power Coop

Accelerate FIT 2.0: 60 Members in 60 Days...

Dear Members,

With the release of new Feed-in Tariff (FIT) 2.0 program rules, SolarShare is excited to announce that we're scaling up!

The good news is, community power co-ops receive special consideration under the new rules. The tricky part is that we have 60 days to reach our goal of 6 megawatts of new projects (that's HUGE!)

In order to secure FIT contracts for our exciting new project pipeline, we require 50 members in the municipalities of Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto (for a total of 150 members) to prove they are property-owning residents. You, the members have been dedicated and passionate advocates for community power so far, and now is the time we really need your help to secure a bright future for solar in Ontario. Please let us know if you can provide any of the following:

1. Do you own property in Toronto, Brampton, or Mississauga?

If so, please e-mail james@trec.on.ca to confirm and he will add you to our list of Designated Property Owners.

2. Who do you know? Help us grow!

It's time to expand our membership geography. If you know anyone that, like you, is motivated about green energy and community power in either Brampton or Mississauga, please let us know! Refer a property owner in either municipality along with a correct and complete oath form and we'll give you a referral fee of $40. Contact julie@trec.on.ca to make a referral.

3. Can you volunteer your services?

Are you a Commissioner of Oaths or know someone who is? We must accompany our FIT applications with signed Statutory Declarations from our Designated Property Owner members. These forms must be witnessed by a Commissioner of Oaths and we are prepared to cover this cost on behalf of our members. If you could donate your time to witness these forms or provide a discounted fee to co-op members, please email james@trec.on.ca

We're looking forward to hearing from you about how you'd like to play a part in SolarShare's Accelerate FIT 2.0 Campaign. Even if you do not fit into one of the categories above, we can still use your help. E-mail julie@trec.on.ca for more details.

The future is now for green energy in Ontario!

Sincerely,

The SolarShare Team
