Oil: Carrot Root Infused, Organic Ontario

I made this for myself first, because the macerated oil from our local supplier included ingredients from China and is in a base of GMO canola oil of all things! Ewwww. I am thrilled to have produced exquisitely deep orange carrot root infused oil - 100% Ontario grown and made!

Carrot Root Daucus carota, infused in local Ontario Certified Organically Grown whole raw sunflower Helianthus annuus oil.

Extraction Method: I shredded 15 lbs of carrots, dehydrated them thoroughly, then stuffed them in mason jars. Then I filled the jars with sunflower oil and let these soak in a dark cool cupboard for 6 weeks. The 15 lbs of carrots gave 1000ml of richly orange coloured light oil. http://www.anarreshealth.ca/node/407
