Here's a message from my colleague Fran Maclure of Women's Healthy Environments Network. She's raising money as part of the 2009 Cancer Prevention Challenge!

Hello again, Friends & Family,

Congratulations and thanks to all of you who have recognized that the Prevention Campaign is worth your donations! You have helped me reach 22% of my personal goal in 2 weeks! With these donations we are able to produce professional material to present at all Women's Healthy Environments Network (WHEN) health-related events. As I mentioned before, last year WHEN participated in 47 various events in and around Toronto. This year, it looks like we might surpass that number, actually because of you, our donors!

In return for your donation, we don't offer a chance to win prizes, such as cars, houses, and other gadgets. We do offer good, old fashioned hard work by a dedicated volunteer Board and many volunteers to spread the word about how to protect you and your family's health against involuntary exposures to the environment.
