FREE yoga classes until the end of July!
Hello Yogis and Yoginis (and friends and acquaintances.....),
The first three weeks of Follow Your Bliss have been amazing and I'm so grateful to all of you that came by, forwarded the info about the free classes to friends, or gave your support in other ways. The space is exploding in positive energy because of each and every one of you! Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart!
New and exciting things will be coming up in the next few weeks and months (movie nights, book clubs, lending library, cupcakes, movement classes...), but in the mean time, I'd like to remind everyone that there is only ONE MORE WEEK of Free Yoga Classes at Follow Your Bliss. If you haven't come already, please do! I would love to see you. And if you haven't already done so, please tell people that you think would be interested. I am relying on Word of Mouth as my primary way of getting new students (at least until my website is up!), so please take a moment to pass this along to friends if you can.
Also, now that the Free Yoga classes are winding down, I'd like to bring your attention to another promotion, good until the end of July (although I am flexible if you can't make it in until then). That is...
* 25% off ALL 5-class, 10-class, and 20-class open-class passes! (expires 3, 6, or 12 months after purchase) - which can work out to as little as $6/class!!
* 50% off ALL 5-class, 10-class, and 20-class private-class passes! (expires 3, 6, or 12 months after purchase)
I'm including the schedule for the end of July, as well as August's schedule in the bottom of this email - as well as by attachment.
I'm also including info on the classes (descriptions and prices). If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Also, if you're on Facebook, and would like to join Follow Your Bliss's group, please visit http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=103479397283&ref=search (I think that should work! - Otherwise, simply search for Follow Your Bliss, Yoga. Tantra. Life).
One last thing! - my mom is sewing some totally amazing and funky yoga-gear (eye pillows, yoga mat bags, microwavable neck bean-bags, meditation cushions). They are all selling at prices that are much cheaper than the retail from most yoga studios!! - This is to supplement her income, and keep the community spirit of 'Bliss. She uses mostly-recovered/recycled fabrics (such as my 2 year old neice's jeans!) so that they're enviro-friendly. If you're interested, please remind me to tell you more about them (I'm a terrible salesperson and feel to shy to give a hard sell). (Oh! - And if you'd like to sell any of your home-made things - please let me know!)
:-)
Once more, thank you all again so very much! I am deeply moved by the generosity of spirit from each and every one of you. I couldn't have done this without you. I'll be sending another email shortly - which will be an invitation to our Follow Your Bliss house-warming/gala grand opening party!! - I really hope you can make it!
Much love, and Namaste-aplenty,
Dee
PS: I'll be out sending newsletters such as this about once per month, listing new events and workshops, new guest instructors, and links for my yoga-blog. If you'd rather be removed from this list, send me back and email and I'll gladly remove you. Peace.
Open Classes:
Open classes are either reserved (meaning that you commit to a certain class, or set of classes, each week, and pay for them in-advance, which is much cheaper), or drop-in, (which means that you just show up whenever you're in the mood).
Please note that priority is given to reserved students, so reservation is strongly encouraged!
All open classes have a maximum of 5 students, with individual descriptions for a class given in advance on the calendar (which I usually, but not always, stick to). These classes are a lot of fun, and different every time! The schedule changes every month, so please check for new gems.
Open Yoga Class Descriptions
All classes are 90 minutes long, unless otherwise noted.
Early-Bird Yoga
Rise and shine with this invigorating practice to honour the divine solar energy. Comprised of energizing breathing exercises, sun salutations, vigorous flowing asanas to wake up each area of your body, and a guided daily intention relaxation, this up-beat class will energize and extend your whole day, leaving you physically and mentally fresh, and feeling amazing. Feel free to bring anything you'll need for a quick shower afterward!
- A zesty, somewhat challenging class, open to all levels.
(Please call by 10pm the night before, and let us know you're coming so we can make sure we're up!)
* Promotion: Attend 5 Early-Bird Yoga classes a week and get your next week free! - Come all summer, and only pay for every-other week. Offer good until September 21st!
Hatha Yoga
This is yoga in the traditional sense, promoting balance, strength, and flexibility, and encouraging the ability to be truly present and live life one precious moment at a time. Postures are punctuated with many opportunities to experience the subtle energies moving through the body. Open to all levels, students are encouraged to gently explore more challenging postures and variations while listening to and respecting their bodies. May include prana yama, chanting, and yoga nidra.
Hatha Lunch
Enjoy the invigorating energies of a mid-day yoga break! Only an hour long, these lunch-time classes are traditional hatha yoga with some prana yama, but no chanting or yoga nidra. $10/class
Slo-Yo
Unwind in this restorative yoga class, opening a window to self-renewal and inner awareness. Release into the deeply nourishing experience, connecting to the lunar, yin energies. Props and gentle movements are utilized to restore and heal the body, followed by a profoundly transformational and healing 30-minute guided yoga nidra meditation, which induces a state of total relaxation as well as expanded awareness.
This class is great for people with insomnia.
Suitable for the beginner and intermediate student who prefers a gentle and thoroughly relaxing class.
Urban Yoga
Infuse your yoga routine with soul-centred improvisational movement and choreographed yoga-dance. This is a fun, uplifting and non-judgmental environment where you can enjoy the sounds of Conscious Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, R&B, and other great tunes. Come and play, the shakti-way! - Open to all levels.
Yoga for Women
This basics class is designed for women who are new to yoga, who are older, who have specific needs such as pain or injury, or who otherwise would rather not practice in a regular open hatha class. Focus is on balancing postures, the “joint-freeing series” (which works and energizes every joint in the body), and simple guided relaxation techniques.
