Saturday May 8th from 5pm-8pm
214 Wright Ave/ Corner of Wright & Roncesvalles Ave.
The Basement of Emmanuel Howard Park Church
Across the Street from High Park Library
Participants will go home with samples of each of 3 products made, with the volunteer demonstrator coming home with a full container of the product s/he demonstrated making.
By donation to That's Women's Work, and $1 per participant for materials.
Please bring your own REUSED - not new - spray bottles and containers. I'll have some on hand to sell at wholesale prices - $10 for a kit of 3. I usually just grab a recycle bin to get containers for folks who don't have them.
I will also have a table for my Anarres Natural Health display with some items to sell.
This Family Friendly evening includes work from 40 local vendors, an excellent pre-mother’s day shopping opportunity!
As part of the craft sale we are offering free workshops from 5-8pm that include *Young Picasso with Caro Cloutier (http://artsforchildren.weebly.com ), *DIY Cleaning Products with Anarres Natural Health (http://www.anarreshealth.ca) and 2 self defence classes- *Self Defence for Women and *Self Defence for Women and Children -with Grace Kim (http://www.3stepdefense.com).
*Live Music Includes Erika Werry, Alex Hickey and Carey West w/ Marcel Aucoin & Wes Neal
Our community partners are: Sistering- Inspiration Studio’s, with donations of 10% of That’s Women’s Work profits from table rentals and sales of That’s Women’s Work merchandise. We are also partnering with Annex Cat Rescue and ask for donations of Cat food, cat carriers in good condition, or Canadian Tire money to help assist them with their work.
EVERYONE WELCOME! We are excited to meet the community and talk about our plans to open a Women’s Art Gallery on Roncesvalles !
