Practitioners for Change
Holistic Health Research has launched Practitioners for Change, a new program aimed at engaging integrative health care practitioners and the public in raising awareness and funds to advance natural health care education and research in Canada.
The goal of the program is to work with practitioners to raise our collective voice for change and create an exponential impact. Like us, integrative health care practitioners are passionate about the need to transform health and health care. This program enables practitioners to contribute to this common vision on a larger scale, beyond the great work they are already doing in their practices.
Between October 15 and November 30, 2010, more than 30 health practitioners are raising funds and awareness for Holistic Health Research by asking their clients to make a suggested donation of $2, $5 or $10 as they are paying for their treatment.
I am collecting tips and donations, which I will match dollar-for-dollar, to support credible research into the effectiveness of holistic therapies. Look for the collection box by the door and help yourself to a Mind Body Spirit postcard.
