Boycott The Economy Day

02/08/2013 11:00 am

Today I invite you to not contribute to the conventional "economy" - a measure of how much trading wealthy people are doing - but rather to spend the day not spending money, and bartering, and frecycling. Can we get what we need without making the "economy" go chi ching?

Here at Anarres, I will accept in person barter, coupons and other non money exchanges today. And try me on other days too!
* Volunteer for a workshop and chip in for materials only.
* Volunteer at an Anarres Outreach event and receive hour for hour workshop credits.
* Proposition me! I've bartered for pies, cakes, brownies, caseroles and expert help such as with computers or accounting. Do you have a shapely medium sized long winter coat with a hood? I need one! See how easy it is!

"Blocking roads and stopping trains is an effective way to slow the economy but it does get people angry.

We realize people have to support our cause for us to be effective in changing the way our resources are exploited.
First Nations have responsibilities to protect our resources and Mother Earth.

We are having a "Boycott the Economy Day" which will not affect everyday travel. We would like people to join our cause and not make purchases on Friday Febuary 8th, 2013.

If we have your support on this day it will tell Harpers Government "Settlers and First Nations" do not support his agenda to pollute the water and destroy our lands!

Time for Nation to Nation building!

Stand up and help make change!

Pack a lunch - fill your tank early - purchase what you need the day before or the day after!
