What is Aromatherapy Massage, Reiki, Reflexology or Chair Massage?
Here Are Some Of The Services You Can Enjoy at Anarres Natural Health Clinic here in Toronto...
Aromatherapy & Aromatherapy Massage
Aromatherapy massage is massage but with highly concentrated plant oils, called essential oils, added to the massage oil or lotion. Aromatherapy works in part through the nostrils which are attached to a part of the brain called the limbic system. The limbic system controls emotions and influences the nervous system and hormones. When you inhale essential oil molecules, messages are transmitted to the limbic system and affect heart rate, stress level, blood pressure, breathing, memory, digestion, and the immune system. Additionally, much of the essential oil continues to the lungs, where therapeutic components are absorbed directly into the bloodstream. In Aromatherapy Massage, essential oils are also absorbed through the skin and enter the capillary circulation, making aromatherapy massage one of the most effective means of healing through aromatherapy.
Each essential oil has different healing properties. For example, some calm while others energize. Here are some of the 120 + therapeutic essential oils I use in my practice and some of their properties:
– To calm and reduce pain: chamomile, lavender, marjoram, wintergreen
– To balance hormones in men and women: rose geranium, rose, clary sage, jasmine
– To improve memory and concentration: rosemary, basil, Scot's pine, fir needle, lemon
– To clear airways and sinuses: lemon, pine, fir balsam, basil, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus, cedarwoods
– To move lymph and relieve water retention: juniper berry, grapefruit, orange, lime, lemon, cypress
– To relax and uplift: lavender, orange, tangerine, mandarin, ylang ylang, bergamot
– To ground and energize: clove, ginger, frankincense, patchouli
– To improve digestion and intestinal complaints: ginger, peppermint, cardamon, fennel
Each blend is especially formulated for you based on your health history and problems you want addressed, in a carrier oil of your choice.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki therapy is a relaxation technique that promotes self-healing. Reiki moves through and around the practitioner and client, such that the Universal Energy going to the client is enhanced. The innate wisdom of each person's body uses the energy where it is needed most. Reiki sessions are done with the client fully clothed, and lying on a table or sitting in a chair. There is a gentle laying on of hands on a number of areas of the body. An incredibly deep sense of relaxation and peace melts away tension, allowing the Life Force to flow more freely throughout the body.
Reflexology
Experience deep relaxation as pressure points, kneading and stretches are applied to your feet. The foot is seen as a mirror image to the body and stimulation to the reflexes in your feet benefits related areas throughout your body.
"Tracey was very attentive to my needs and more. She collected information about both my physical and emotional well-being before proceeding with the reflexology to make sure she addressed not only my symptoms but the underlying causes. I felt great after the session."

Chair Massage or Corporate Massage
Help yourself, your employees and your coworkers address those key tension areas in the back, neck, shoulders and arms! This short, focused massage is done over the clothing in a specially designed ergonomic chair. The ultimate in convenience: It's short, no need to undress and can be brought right to you.
Plus many more aromatherapy treatments to choose from Qi Stone Massage, Qi Drop Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Polarity Therapy, and Chakra Balancing.
Not sure what kind of massage or treatment to ask for? Don't worry. I will sit down with you and perform a health history and assessment interview. I'll find out about your unique needs and preferences and make specific recommendations so that you receive an aromatherapy treatment that's just perfect for you. If I can't help, then I will refer you to people who can.
Are your health concerns "under the radar" of the medical system? Is there something that you KNOW you NEED to change, but want some help getting it together? Always wanted to make potions? I enjoy working with people who are interested in learning how to heal and who are seeking alternatives to pharmaceutically-driven health care. I seek to restore mental, physical and spiritual health and natural beauty to the world one client at a time!

Thx for sharing about the Services which i Can Enjoy at Anarres Natural Health Clinic in Toronto...
is it true that Aromatherapy should not be confused with fragrances or perfume oils. Fragrances are often made from chemicals, and lack the therapuetic properties of essential oils. So just because someone lights a scented candle doesn't make it aromatherapy?
After doing some work on computer, related to web, type things,so its better to take massage after that...it may make me more relax u know!
#2 traceytf : "Aromatherapy" candles
You are right!
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for healing. Synthetic fragrances, by products of petroleum, are toxic, not healing. So the only true aromatherapy candles and oils are made from essential oils and beeswax or vegetable waxes and oils - never paraffin and "fragrances".
One ethical company who sell real aromatherapy candles is the Aloha candle company. A local company in Canada is Vegewax - Scents Alive. http://www.vegewax.com/About_Scents_Alive.htm
Hope you do come by for a relaxing massage!
Blessings, Tracey
