History: Extracted from the seeds of Optunia Ficus Indica cactus, the Organic Prickly Pear Oil is also known as Barbary Fig Oil and has been the beauty secret of Berber women for many centuries.
Benefits: It is highly moisturizing and has many properties that are beneficial to the skin. High in Omega-6 Fatty Acids and naturally occurring Carotenoids, Vitamins C and E, and Flavonoids, this skin-toning oil contains powerful antioxidants. This nutrient-rich, fast absorbing oil is high in Linoleic Acid, which helps to maintain skin's supple look and brightens the complexion. Common Uses: Prickly Pear Organic Carrier Oil contains Vitamin E and amino acids which help to nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the skin, preventing the look of mature skin and appearance of fine lines. This oil promotes elasticity and provides the skin a smoother, refined skin texture. When used as a night serum, it reduces the appearance of dark spots and dark circles, so the skin appears visibly younger.
